Ile-a-Vache

Ile-a-Vache is a small tropical paradise in the Caribbean Sea located across the city of Les Cayes in the south of Haiti. It is natural, unexploited, and absolutely unique in today's world. There are no cars: you get around by hiking, horseback riding, and by boat. A total escape from urban frenzy! There are more than twenty beaches, among the most beautiful in the Caribbean. The local population is friendly and welcoming. People earn their living by fishing and farming. Tourism develops at a slow pace, offering calm and peaceful places to visitors, and helping local communities.

In one of our two suites, the Suite Jacques Roumain (which can accommodate six persons) and the Suite Dany Laferrière (which can accommodate four persons), you forget the rest of the world, on top of a hill with magnificent views and a refreshing sea breeze. Abaka Bay Beach, one of the most beautiful in the world according to Condé Nast Traveller, is a five-minute walk away. You are at home, in a calm and intimate setting, immersed in Haitian art and surrounded by lush gardens. Our friendly and efficient service is provided by authentic islanders and you enjoy the delicious cuisine of our chef Veliciane Dupont (exclusively for registered guests of Suites la Colline). The property being a private home until recently, we welcome you the same way we always welcome family and friends who are invariably enchanted by their stay.
